Trump supporters are attempting to stage a coup at the US Capitol as Dems take control of the Senate. WaPo announced that they breached the chamber at 12.51pm EST, so I set the chart time for just prior. Notice Pluto and Mercury are still onjunct and in a prominent position at the Midheaven (pennacle of the chart). They form a stressful T-square square to the Moon (a nation's populace), as well as to the Mars-Uranus conjuncton on the Ascendant/Rising (our nation's public ide...ntity). Astro 101: planets on the angles are hugely important and take on greater significance. Uranus (revolution) and the God of War (Mars) in square to the Lord of Death (Pluto) in the sign of governance (Capricorn) squaring the Moon. For all its nuance, astrology can be exceptionally literal. Where are you experiencing a personal coup? Where are you feeling suffocated by authority and rigid limitations? Where in your own life do you need to stage a revolution? IG is cutting me off or I would say SO much more. To be clear, I believe that Trump supporters are enemies of our nation and the underpinnings of Democracy. Those who perpetrated these acts should be tried for treason. America has a soul sickness and these people are the symptoms reminding us that if we do not evolve, we will die. Thank you Pluto!

Would you welcome some good news after this gnarly year? Today is the day we astrologers have been looking forward to for ages: the winter solstice and the Great Conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn in Aquarius, which also heralds the Grand Mutation. Huh? What? Let me explain. In short: The energy is changing. This may usher in an auspicious period in our lives in which old chapters end and new ones begin. We can't know exactly how it will play out, but positive forward movement,... growth, and reaping of rewards for any hard work performed will be the defining characteristics of these next years - both individually and collectively. Huzzah! (If you want to know how this super important aspect reflects in your personal horoscope then please DM me to schedule a consultation.) The Great Conjunction is the alignment of Jupiter-Saturn at the exact same sign and degree as they move through the heavens. This happens once every 19-20 years. In other words: they will not be this close together again for another two decades! Wowow! Even more importantly, this Great Conjunction is kicking off a Grand Mutation, which means that Jupiter-Saturn are now meeting one another in a new element: air. With the exception of 1981, Jupiter-Saturn have only met in earth signs for the past 200 years. No one will live through another Grand Mutation, so you can see how this is a significant time that will define a new era. Air and earth have a decidedly different feel to them. Where is earth is dense and unmoving, air is light and flexible; where earth is steady, air is mercurial. You can continue to consider the differences between the elements to better understand how the energy will change to have a better sense of how that change wilo feel. I especially expect to see a lot of social/societal reform now that Saturn has entered Aquarius for 2.5y, which historically, is a time for much social progress (think revolutionary wars, women's suffrage, and the Civil Rights Movement).
