Share Your Voice with MTC’s A Story of Your Own. A Streamed MTC Mainstage Monologue Production Introduction: February 19, 2021 4:00 PM (Zoom or Theatre TBA) Ages 12+... This will NOT be an auditioned production. Interested students will write a short paragraph dictating what they would like to learn and what intimidates them about monologues, which are a necessity to the Actor for auditioning both scholastically and professionally. Rehearsals: February 23 - April 23 (T TH SAT) Shows: Filmed April 23rd May 2nd Objective: With this monologue production, cast members’ experiences during the pandemic will be used to create a filmed production. They will use experiences from either in-school or social life, to teach them how to write and perform a series of monologues that will be filmed and streamed to showcase their stories. In the process they will learn the techniques used to break down monologues structurally, and how to write and perform their own effectively and specifically.
