10:22 am: Minor B game in McKinleyville cancelled today! Mckinleyville games are still on! If you played today in Arcata your game is cancelled!

Our season is underway, most teams have began practice and the first games will be as soon as April 5th! Game schedules will be posted soon! We are in need of UMPIRES- Majors, Minors, and Senior League games! Interested in making a few extra bucks? Please reach out to us!

Just a reminder, our Annual Meeting is coming up! If you would like to get involved, we will be voting in the new 2021 board members on October 5th! If you would just like to listen or give input, please come join us as well! We have a wonderful group of volunteers, parents and kids that make MLL successful... Come be part of the FUN!

Fall Update: MLL has been approved to begin practices, we are not allowed to have a full blown fall ball season yet, but hopefully soon! Your child’s coach from the spring season will be reaching out to you to see if your interested in practicing. ... Unfortunately at this time we are only beginning practice for our Major and Minor A leagues. If you have any questions, please message us!

Minor B(coach pitch) parents: this is our final attempt to find coaches. We anticipate 2 game days and 1 practice day per week. Excluding weekends! If we don’t have 3 volunteers by June 12th we will be forced to cancel the minor B season! Please message us if your interested.

Tomorrow is the FINAL day to complete this registration update! Completing this form allows you to receive a full refund if you would like to cancel your players registration! If no form is completed by June 1st you will forfeit your refund or credit for next season. IF your child is STILL planning on playing in July, you MUST fill this form out as well...Please let us know if you have any questions, July is approaching and we are all hopeful the County will allow us to play! Remember we need ONE per player!

Season Update: As most are aware we are still hopeful to have a season! The dates of our season will be as follows: Practice begins: July 1st Games begin: July 11th End of Regular Season: August 15th TOC's: August 15th- 19th... District All Star Tournaments: 8/22-8/26 (9/10/11's) and 8/29-9/3(12's) We need all participates to complete the below form by June 1st so we can make sure we have enough kids per team! McKinleyville families... thanks for your patience, we are all frustrated with the uncertainty of Covid-19 and the effect it’s having on the start of our season. McKinleyville Little League Families- Thank you to everyone that completed the survey, we will be reviewing the submissions this week. An update on the status of the 2020 baseball season is below:... Currently Little League International is anticipating a start date of May 11th, depending on your region. This means that they are going to allow play based on the recommendation of local government entities. We are hopeful that we can work with our local health officials and government to receive their guidance on what we will need to do in order to begin the season. Uniforms, gear and team placement has been prepared and we are ready to begin when Humboldt County allows us to. If your unaware, the President of Little League International, announced that the LL Word Series as well as the Regional tournament portion of All-Stars has been cancelled. LL International did mention that they are allowing and encouraging All-Stars to move forward at the District level all the way up to State level. We will be coordinating with our local leagues in our district to figure out a solution to the end of season tournaments, that so many kids look forward to. As more concrete details evolve over the next few weeks, we will keep you posted on specifics. This is fresh off the press so please understand we are working quickly to make plans for a 2020 season. As always please message us with any questions or concerns. We understand the importance of little league for children and we are working hard to ensure a return to baseball as soon as it’s deemed safe.

Season Update: All the league presidents met tonight and we are still on hold until May 11th. We are hopeful to have a decision about when/if the season will begin by May 11th. Below is a survey we would like all families to complete. It is VERY important to answers these questions with the assumption that health officials have said it is OK to play. Little League Families- As you all are aware, COVID-19, has delayed the upcoming season. The volunteers involved with the league are hopefully we will be able to offer a fun season for all once the ‘Shelter In Place’ is lifted for California In the event that we are unable to have a 2020 season we will be informing all participants regarding our refund/credit policy. ... Families, As most of you are aware the COVID-19 and the restrictions that come with this global pandemic have limited our ability to begin the season. As a board, we met last night and have decided to suspend all practices and games until further notice. We will meet again on April 6th to re-evaluate our season start date based upon the current state of the COVID-19 virus. We anticipate having a full season, our #1 priority is to make sure we begin when it’s safe! We have yet to finalize all teams, but know that each child registered will be assigned to a team! We encourage for you to get out and practice with your child. Make sure you practice social distancing so we can get this virus behind us!
