Ask questions, request classes or simply send us a picture of your work for guidance. Homeschool and ART??? A question we get asked frequently is how do I encourage my kids to be creative at home? Many adults lose their natural creativity (which we were all born with) as they get older, so how can they inspire their kids to get creative? The answer is simple.... Nothing! Provide your little artist with a few materials in a safe space they can make a mess in and leave them alone! No boundaries, no guidance and no preconceived ideas of what they should achi...eve. Give lots of praise as you sit back and enjoy your coffee Children learn through play. The more guidance we give the more children seek our approval. By stepping away we encourage them to explore, problem solve, develop cognitive skills and create using their imaginations. You’ll be surprised what they can conjure up all by themselves! Once’s they’ve unleashed their inner artist and want some guidance on new skills and techniques we have it all at Virtual McArt. You can spark your creativity and join in or chill out and STILL enjoy your coffee. We take care of everything! #homeschool #homeschoollife #embracethemess #makingmasters #freethinking #thinkoutsidethebox #parenting101 See more

Thank you Christina Hayes. We have a real knack for differentiating our language to inspire both children AND adults in the same lesson. You can either sit back and enjoy a coffee while your little artist creates, OR join in the creativity too! #anyonecandoit #getinspired #create

One of my most frequented questions is What is the difference between Crayola and Prismacolor and which one should I buy The main difference is the amount of filler and pigment used to create the lead. Prismacolor uses more pigment than filler making them a lot pricier than your average brand. They create brighter colors and have softer leads which makes them easier to blend. The softer leads also means they erode faster so you will find yourself replacing your most us...ed colors frequently. Lastly they offer hundreds of color variations in tin sets. Crayola uses more filler and less pigment making them the less expensive option. The colors are not as bright and the leads are harder due to the filler making them harder to blend than Prismacolor. The harder leads does make them more resilient if dropped and they erode at a much slower rate. Crayola pencils come in sets of mostly primary and secondary colors. So which brand is for you? For new and younger artists I recommend keeping it simple with Crayola. The harder lead makes them the tougher more resilient choice. Smaller packs of color choices are less overwhelming and allow students to focus on techniques and basic color combinations. They are also the cheaper option. When students become more confident they can always graduate to Prismacolor. They are more expensive but with all your new skills you will have the confidence to create masterpieces so rich in color they will look like paintings. Prismacolor offers sets with hundreds of color variations. I recommend starting with a basic palette just like Crayola. You can always add more colors as you become more adventurous. #crayola #prismacolor #pencil #coloredpencil #colouredpencil
