Some nurses may be graduating this year. So where do you go from here? - Study for the NCLEX: As the test date approaches, go to review sessions, take practice tests, study with classmates, view your classroom notes, and other preparations that will help you pass this exam. - Prepare your resume: When it comes to your job search, nothing is more important than your resume. Make sure it includes details such as, if applicable, work history, affiliations, volunteer activities, ...honors and awards, skills summary, languages spoken, education, licenses and certifications, and any other details that make you stand out as a nurse. - Review your finances: You may have minor, if not significant, debt from attending school. You want to keep track of the amount of student loans you have and when you’ll have to start paying those loans back. Be mindful of how you spend your money from here and whether it’s a necessity, such as a vacation or dining at an expensive restaurant. - Congratulate yourself: Nursing school is challenging, requiring a lot of dedication. Be proud of yourself for beginning a new, wonderful chapter in your life!!! Congrats to the 2019 Nursing Grads from all of us at Maxim!
