(Marysville CA 12/28/2020) For more than 50 years Marysville Raceway has provided a motorsports venue for the Yuba Sutter area. That tradition will continue with a new driver development and product test program at the Raceway. We had a very limited 2020 race year with the Covid issues and related regulations explained track manager Dennis Gage. We’ve regrouped and found a new purpose after the 2020 limits. He continued. These race teams need a place to test their p...roducts and hone driver skills and we have the perfect setting for that here in Marysville, Gage concluded. While the 2021 race schedule is being working on the Speedway has geared up for a high level of testing and driver fitness. Racers are finely tuned athletes who need constant training and workouts. The clay track located just on Simpson Lane in Marysville offers the foundation for that training. Daily track rentals are open, but a new 3-hour program has also been introduced to give more teams the chance to get some track time. Long time NASCAR teams like Joe Gibbs racing, Chip Ganassi and Richard Childress have long supported driver development programs to further the sport and give competitors both the mental and physical skill needed for competition. The Raceway has also been the site for concerts, media days, celebrations, and charity events. Full support services including management, entertainment, food, and drink. Equipment is available as well for track preparation and other key operations. Some limits apply for current events including mask and distancing requirements. Currently events limit the number of participants and no spectators are allowed. These guidelines can change rapidly. A kick-off test and drive day is planned for this Friday Jan 1. No spectators are allowed, and it is an outdoor recreational event for participants only. All participants must wear a mask, and practice basic virus protection. The grandstand will be closed along with no food services. The competitor gate will open at 11 am and the track will be open from noon to 4 pm. A fee of $30 will be charged for anyone entering the competitor area and they must comply with these guidelines. Information on the Raceway or upcoming may be obtained from the track office at 530-350-7275 or by going to www.marysvilleraceway.com. END See more

Paul Hawes Memorial Sprint Spooktacular (Marysville, CA 10/27/20)This past May, the Marysville Raceway was saddened to learn that former track Promoter Paul Hawes had passed away from Cancer. Hawes, along with his wife Kathy, made numerous improvements to the racing venue throughout their time promoting the races. With approval from the family, we have decided to race in his honor this Saturday night, October 31, naming the event the Paul Hawes Memorial Sprint Spooktacula...r. Four divisions headline this event led by the popular winged 360 sprint cars, wingless spec sprints, sport mods and Crate Sprints. A normal purse will be offered to all the classes competing. The winged sprint cars will qualify, run heats and mains. The other three divisions will draw a pill to determine their starting spot in the heats. Troy White is offering $50 for the hard charger in the wingless main event. The Raceway has been given permission to allow the first 100 fans into the main grandstands on race nights. Note time change. The front gate will open at 5 PM. Once the 100-person quota has been filled, the Raceway will stop allowing more fans in. No in and out privileges will be allowed. Pit gate for the competitors will open an hour earlier at 2 PM. Social distancing will be required. Cars are scheduled to hit the track at 5 PM sharp. Adult tickets are $17, Junior and Senior $14 and kids $6 for Saturday nights race. Fans are encouraged to wear masks and keep social distance. The vast grandstands provide plenty of space to spread out. Flo Racing continues to be our official streaming partner of Marysville Raceway. Without their generous support, we would not have been able to host this event because of the limited access of fans into the main grandstands. Please visit www.FloRacing.com for more details on how to subscribe to all their racing content. Novelty booth is restocking the remaining Silver Dollar Speedway and Marysville Raceway merchandise for sale. It could be your final chance to grab some racetrack swag. New concession items will be available for the fans in attendance to purchase. Information is available at the track website at www.marysvilleraceway.com or at 530-350-7275. END See more
