The June 2020 Martial.Arts Way dojo calendar is now available on the dojo web site at: www.martialartsway.com Go to the the web site and read calendar all the way all the way through. The Sacramento Public Health Order has allowed us to open. We will continue to maintain social distancing, practice good hygiene, wear face coverings, ask students to stay home if not feeling well and do not touch eyes, nose, mouth with unwashed hands. We will sanitize areas in the dojo before and after class. Any questions or concerns please communicate with us.

Sensei Frank will be contacting dojo students and parents of dojo students starting tomorrow Tuesday May 12th. Before he contacts you please review all the information provided on the May dojo calendar (http://www.martialartsway.com). He will be asking if you intend to return to the dojo to resume your training so that we can schedule you into one of the classes. Your health and safety are foremost on our minds we have established the following protocols: We will and contin...ue to sanitize counter tops, door handles, training area and bathroom area before and after class Hand sanitizer will be available We will practice social distancing 6 feet (there will be no more than 6-7 students training per class) We will wear masks and ask that students do the same We will ask you to thoroughly wash your hands before and after training If you are not feeling well do not attend class Cough and/or sneeze into your sleeve or Kleenex Training will only consist of basics, katas, self-defense without a partner. Photos from Martial Arts Way dojo fall 2019 November karate examinaton the examineeswho tested from yellow belt through black belt 3rd degree were promoted. The examiners included Senseis Gaviola 8th degree black belt and 7th degree, Senseis Francis and Corkery 6th and 5th degree black as well as 3rd, 2nd and 1st degree black belts

Although COVID19 presented us with a "new normal" we conducted our spring 2020 karate examination on Saturday June 27 at the dojo. Senseis Francis and Corkery as well as their students from the San Francisco were unable to attend because of the Shelter In Place order. Nine of our dojo students took the exam to rokyu to ikkyu ranks. They all passed CONGRATULATIONS to Jayden, Benjamin, Kalea, Ella, Kaitlyn, Gerardo, Akiko, Tuan and Brittan. Examiners were Sensei Frank and Sensei Lenore Gaviola with Xavier Sheaffer and Collin Hoang assisting. Thank you Shalan for providing the photos.
