Like domestic violence, human trafficking has increased during the pandemic. Victims are often recruited by an intimate partner. Increased unemployment has given offenders more opportunities to exploit their partner. Data is becoming more difficult to keep private, especially for survivors of domestic violence. The fact that information such as an address is just a click away puts survivors at risk of their offenders finding them.
