"The young people I work with every day and serve the nation in the armed forces in general, and the Marine Corps in particular, have broken the mold and stepped out as men and women of character who are making their own way in life while protecting ours." -General John F. Kelly, USMC (Ret)

To salute the sacrifice of military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty, May 13 has officially been proclaimed Children of Fallen Patriots Day. This date shows appreciation for the young people whose lives were forever changed in support of their parents’ service to our country. Too often, this tremendous sacrifice is overlooked, which is why Children of Fallen Patriots Day was created to applaud their resilience and strength.

May is Military Appreciation Month! How will you be celebrating and honoring our troops this month?
We are sad to announce the passing of Marines’ Memorial Volunteer, Len Noriega. Many of you will recognize Len’s smiling face as he spent many hours at the Club, the Library being his favorite part! Len served in the US Army during Vietnam and was honored to be a member of Marines’ Memorial. We will miss his positive attitude and contagious laughter. Thank you for your service, Len.
