Part of the Design for the Future exhibition on view at @ROWDTLA through September 30. Meet Me in the Woods Above" by @alpernakri is a slice of the trunk of a Californian Pepper Tree (Anacardiaceae) which lived in an acquaintance's backyard for decades. In this piece, he created an asymmetrical composition that combines the impressive durability of LED lighting and the long lifespan of the re-purposed trunk. It invites the audience to consider the passage of time from the perspective of harmonious co-existence. Stop by between 11am and 6pm!

This year we were mission focused on bringing some offline creative engagement to you during the #LADesignFestival. Thanks to our presenting partner @squarespace and our longtime supporters at @rowdtla, we were able to present DESIGN FOR THE FUTURE, a series of vitrines. The boxes were created by @liqui_group and the 8 represented designers feature a cross-section of LA creatives. Please come check out these along with our other installations at ROW DTLA which can be viewed safely (outside, in masks, at a distance) from 11am-6pm daily through September 30.
