September #reynoldsrap: Residents want the Community First Village model I’ve been promoting since my visit there last summer. But they’ve gotten little if any response. From Scott Wiener being dismissive and discouraging to London Breed and her deafening silence, I ask the question: Do politicians even care about saving San Francisco?

GREAT UPDATECANDY IS SAFE!!! Leaving the vet clinic, going into a HOME THANK YOU to everyone who shared her post! With Gratitude, Maripat... CANDY, IN DANGER OF BEING EUTHANIZED AT VET AFLAR has been trying to help CANDY, who was abandoned at the Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital over 80 days ago. The vet clinic has reached out to many rescues, with no success. They emailed me today to let me know they are going to open up their boarding again, and will quickly run out of room to keep her. They understand that because she is a senior and not good with other dogs, it is extremely hard to find her a home. They said, Our biggest fear is that she will go live in the shelter for the rest of her life, having severe anxiety due to the close proximity of the other dogs. They said they have decided that it would be best for her to be euthanized if we cannot find her a home. I contacted them back immediately, and they confirmed that if a foster or home, or a solid lead cannot be found for her by next Monday, that they may euthanize her. Pleasenegative comments won’t help. If you have any ability to foster, please let us know. Also, please SHARE HER ON YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE, INSTAGRAM, ETC.!!! Ventura County, California Please note that AFLAR has offered TRAINING SUPPORT to anyone who fosters or adopts Candy; and the Conejo Valley Veterinary Clinic has offered a DISCOUNT for any services for Candy. Background Info~ I went to meet Candy today. This 10-year-old sweet senior pit bull was left at the Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital, and her owner never came back. The vet has reached out for help, because they all love Candy and want to see her in a loving, Forever Home. Candy greeted me with tail wags and kisses... she loves everyone! Candy is spayed, current on vaccinations, and she is low to medium energy, although she loves to play fetch! She needs an only-dog home, and would make a wonderful companion and best friend. AFLAR is trying to find Candy a foster or forever home, and will provide training support to any foster or adopter. The Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital will offer a discount for any services for Candy. Special thanks to trainer Gail Major, and to the Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital for their special help for this sweet girl. Please contact me about [email protected] With Gratitude, Maripat

In my April 2019 #ReynoldsRap column, I questioned why Mayor #LondonBreed had not fired #SFDPW boss #MohammedNuru despite decades of corruption and incompetence: http://www.marinatimes.com//its-time-for-mayor-breed-to-s/ In May of 2019, I updated the story to include several calls, letters, and emails I received from workers inside DPW and other city departments claiming that one reason Breed didn’t let Nuru go was likely because they had a romantic relationship:...Continue reading

With a couple of unexpected phone calls - we have a 14 year old pittie lady ( who is curled up sleeping in my bed this morning) - her momma died and she was ...scared and hiding in the yard when the sheriff came to lock up the house yesterday. And then a call from our vet about a sweet 7 year old pittie lady who was brought to the him to be euthanized but he refused - he said his heart wouldn’t allow him to put her down , and called us to take her. the quiet everyday rescues that happen daily, no big announcement no one knows or hears - This, over money and notoriety, is what spells success. this is what we are here for. So while the whole city was out celebrating last night- we were here celebrating a lil differently- with our hearts all in- getting these ladies cozy n’ settled in. May 2020 start with your heart all-in, wherever it feels right. PLEASE FOSTER PLEASE SHARE Contact us if you are up for fostering for a bit we provide supplies, vet care, support and the deepest appreciation [email protected] 415-756-8188 (text is best)
