Hopefully a lot of things that happened so far this year fall into the once in a blue moon category, becoming distant memories soon. It’s fun (and important!) t...o find even small reasons to celebrate despite it all like Halloween falling on a blue moon this year! Much like this once in a while occurrence (only 5-6 times a century), we hope to be lucky enough to only stay virtual with our events for this year. While we miss seeing our community face to face at events, we’d love for you to take advantage of the unique fun of our Virtual Halloween Spooktacular Contests! During these past few months, our OASIS Seniors have enjoyed touring around the City of Newport Beach and getting a "Breath of Fresh Air". They enjoyed the beau...tiful scenery at the Wedge, Corona del Mar, Lido Isle Bridge, and much more. These outings have provided an outlet and have brought a sense of normalcy during this unprecedented time. Our original vision for the 2020 summer may have been different, but we were incredibly excited to SEE so many happy faces in our outdoor camps this year. Another huge thanks to our instructors and staff who made any camps possible- and thanks to all of you who joined us! We are truly grateful. Believe it or not, we’re already busy planning next summer! Whatever the future holds, we’re looking forward to finding creative ways to keep you active and engaged all year long. Today we say #THANKYOU to our OASIS Senior Center Drivers and volunteers who deliver Meals-on-Wheels Monday through Friday to many of our Newport Beach seniors. We truly appreciate their work in serving the Newport Beach community day in and day out! Age Well Senior Services manages the Meals on Wheels program and has partnered with the OASIS for over 40 years. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of seniors receiving meals has increased dramatically.
