Gosh, I have not been on this page for ever, I'm so terrible at this stuff. I need to update that photo, ( different hair color). I need your help, I am very quickly trying to organize a pro bono clinic for the returning Fire Fighters and Police officers that were dispatched to Napa and Santa Rosa on Monday last, They are Sch to come back on Thur. Approx. 200 were dispatched. I am planing on opening the clinic to these first responders on Saturday morning from about 8am to 12...am ish. These will be full 1 hour treatments that they will enjoy laying down, headphones on, the aroma therapy, the works basically. The great thing about acupuncture is we can treat a multitude of issues in one treatment, everything from smoke inhalation, stress, anxiety, injuries you name it we can do it. I'm going to do it in a very calm communal setting, that way I can see as many as I can in this space of time. If there is a need and I'm sure there will be I will do it for the next number of Saturdays, My great contacts at the fire fighters union and police officers are ready to put the blast out that acupuncture is available, but here is where I need your help, I need 20 folding sun beds ( the ones you sun bath on) they must be folding, I will return them to you in a few weeks. 20 pairs of headphones, ( not the ear buds) but the ones that go over your ears. will be returned also 20 pillows ( also returned) 20 blankets ( also returned) We all know that these amazing people are trained, but I'm also so aware that they are not robots and no matter how much training you have, I don't think you will ever be able to prepare for this kind of extreme. Hello Everyone. Just realized I have not posted on Facebook since the fire. This is a wonderful Documentary by Ed Brown, (local SF person). Unlike a lot of Documentaries that scare you to death, and leave you running for the next rocket ship off this planet. This film is different, you are shown how you can change little things daily in your life. ... I always say to people: In regards to food, toxins, or chemicals. Start making small changes, and before you know it the good outweighs the bad stuff. That's how we make changes. Encourage as many people to see this movie. Good Morning to all my Wonderful Patients. I have such sad news, there was a fire yesterday at 3611 Sacramento ST, (my Clinic Space). Thankfully no one was hurt. ... Surprisingly my area that I work out of, where all the treatment rooms are was not damaged at all. I'm putting that down to all the Wonderful Positive "Qi" that all of you bring to the space. Even the salvage guy's last night were like, this area was like it was in a "cocoon" as the fire was happening. But Sadly the rest of the building is very badly damaged. Yesterday at around 5pm, We were going to see "Van Morrison" in concert, I picked up my phone as we were going out the door, and looked at it and seen 7 messages, and 10 text. I always have the ringer turned off on the weekend. I looked and went what the heck! I opened the first text and seen a picture of my building on fire. I'm running around trying to find my glasses, as I can't see a thing now that I'm over 40. Its amazing at that second how the human body works, just this insane calmness comes over you. I'm just so in aw as to how our bodies work. The second feeling is human nature, "oh my goodness is everyone OK." Nothing else matters.!!!!! To all of you who Called and emailed Yesterday and this morning I'm so thankful I have you in my life. I truly feel like the luckiest person on the planet at this moment. A little sad, but the luckiest person with the most to be thankful for. We continued to see Van Morrison, and WOW did he put on a show. I don't know if any of you have seen him in concert. But it could be either hit or miss..... I been at one concert where he sang 3 songs and left the stage, and never came back on.... I been at another where he sang the whole concert with his back to the audience, but my last night he sang his heart out for 2 hours, and for 2 hours I felt like he was singing to me, and I did not think about a damm thing that was happening. Thank you Van Morrison for your genius, and your amazing ability to release endorphins in the body, it was just exactly what the doctor ordered. I kind of wish those endorphins would stay, but I think they are fading......... I will have to find a temporary space, so if you have an appointment with with me this week, I have to cancel it. Give me a couple of days to get that organized, and I will email or call everyone to get everything running again. So ironic on this week, I really do have so much to be Thankful for, I have a wonderful family I have wonderful friends I have wonderful patients, who I regard all of you as friends.
