To our Marcus Books family! We are overwhelmed by the positive response that continues to pour in from all over the nation. As we do our part to disperse the impact of the pandemic and shelter in place, we wanted to provide some general information and address some of the common questions being raised. 1. How can I support the business? The Marcus Books team is truly humbled and inspired by the generosity of our local and national communities and is working tirelessly to pro...vide opportunities to engage with you all during the shelter in place and beyond. A huge thank you to everyone who has shown us kindness in these trying times. The most immediate way to support Marcus Books at this time is by contributing to our campaign (https://www.gofundme.com/f/marcus-books-anniversary-fundrai), and sharing the campaign in your circles. 2. Can we buy books, browse titles, or learn about events online? Does Marcus Books need help with its online presence? We are currently in the process of establishing an online presence! Though we have a dedicated team working to design Marcus Books’ website and social media platforms, we do appreciate all those who have generously offered their services to help to make this happen. We hope to have a catalogue of our essential works and merchandise, as well as information about upcoming virtual and in-store events available soon. Can my work be sold at Marcus Books Marcus Books has always celebrated and supported Black makers. After 60 years of business nothing has changed! As our store is temporarily closed due to the shelter in place order, we are not able to build up our inventory with new works at this time. Once we are open and able to receive copies of work, we will reach out with our mailing address and you can send us your work for review. We look forward to hearing from you.
