While the Creek Fire poses no immediate threat to life or property in the Mammoth Lakes area, helicopters operating out of the Mammoth Yosemite Airport are providing air support via water and fire retardant drops to help manage fire lines. The Incident Management Team has also indicated that there are plans to assign additional resources to the eastern flank of the fire as soon as they can pivot those resources away from structure protection efforts in other areas of the incident.
