Chefs Danel and Adrien make a rare appearance to wish everyone a Happy 2021! Looking back at last year, Petit Louis names his favorite viennoiseries and patisseries. Magalie is grateful for meeting all the customers who have supported us, including the French community who have embraced Maison Danel. Danel reveals his favorite part of the patisserie (you will never guess!) and David shows off the packaging he is proud to have designed himself. Thank you San Francisco for the opportunity to share our love for French baking and cooking with you. Bonne annee, bon appetit, et a bientot!

Vive le croissant! Despite the name, our croissants are straight, like in France, to indicate they are made with real butter. The crescent-shaped croissants are made with oil or margarine!

It’s not the weekend at Maison Danel without our orange blossom Pain Perdu French Toast Trivia: Pain Perdu literally means lost bread because originally it was made from stale bread that would have otherwise been thrown away! @akemi.eats

For this episode, David and Julie head to Toulouse for the iconic Cassolulet, a white bean stew with Duck Confit and Sausages. Julie pairs the dish with a wonderful Malbec from the same region, the Gouleyant from Cahors. For the tea, we are going classic with the popular English breakfast, a blend of Kalgar Assam and Chester Ceylon. Bon appétit!

Quelle heur est-il à Paris? It’s champagne hour! Ici à San Francisco, there’s no better place than Maison Danel to get a fresh, flakey, and buttery croissant along with a glass of French bubbly. Tchintchin!
