Adapting to change is key when there’s so much uncertainty, and everyone has had to do a lot of it in 2020! With so much uncertainty and change, I focus on what I do have control over in my life, like adjusting my daily routines to support my mental health. As the shorter days and cooler weather of Fall and winter arrive, it’s another adjustment. I get up earlier when daylight savings time ends, it helps me combat the seasonal affective disorder the dark and cold months can ...bring. I also make sure I get outside for walks, runs, gardening, or just to stare at the trees. What are your tips for adapting change? #mentalhealthtips #changeisconstant #adaptingtochange #seasonalaffectivedisorder #therapyworks

Time to hit refresh on the garden, which is always a good reminder to reset internally too. And I got a few surprises when I pulled out the rest of my summer squash this morning! #oneofthesethingsisnotliketheother #gardeningismytherapy #mentalhealth

One of my clients shared this meme with me and thanked me for playing music during all the stressors this year. I’m so grateful to love my job and appreciate the hard work of exploring, sharing, and growing that my clients put into their therapy. #mindfulliving #lovemyjob #therapistslife #telehealth #therapy2020

Tapping, also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a combination of acupressure and psychology and can help to regulate your central nervous system and reduce stress. It's a simple technique that may work for you. Here's one specifically for racial anxiety relief for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
