We continue to make your cakes but we are going to have to ask more advance notice of 8 working days since we are low in staff members. We are also looking into only serving the lunch hours (11 am - 2 pm; take-out only, still) if we are not able to fully staff our kitchen next week, we are making everything possible to stay open and still servings qualify food. Thanks to our donors yesterday we gave away 3 meals, we only received permission from Ken to take a picture of him, he was greatly surprised, he had only asked for a free coffee, a meals was not in his plans , thank you for your generous gifts. Today we are making 10 more to take on our walk down town. We have 2 families that were nominated but I have not received direct confirmation of their needs nor addresses, we are here to help whoever may need a warm meal, just to spreading a little hope!

Updated on this beautiful program, I reached out to a few local nonprofit companies in town to see if I could find people in "Real" need for us to provide meals to and I come to find out that funding is being provided and what they really need is volunteers. On the other had we have $375 in funding thanks to your generous donations, and I don't want to waste it, I know there are people that are in true need, please let us know if you would like to nominate people in crisis with a real need, we will deliver meals or groceries whatever is more useful for them. We are in this together, thank you for you love! I know there are people that go hungry to bed, I was there at one point in my life and I later found out that my grandmother was in the same situation. Like I said, Thank you for your love!

Main Street Bakery has created a "Pay It Forward" program at the restaurant. People can call in and buy a meal for those who are on the front lines, and high risk; for example: First responders, health care workers, senior citizens, or someone who has lost their job or are in a homelessness situation. When someone calls in to buy a meal, it’s then fully paid for and ready for delivery or pick-up This is not only a way to support Main Street Bakery to stay open, but it’s also a way to help those who are struggling and give to those who are helping. This week we have received 2 donations of $25 each that will be donated packaged and delivered to the most needy on Friday morning, if you would like to help or if you would like to nominate a person in need please give us a call 831-771-2253.
