For those of you looking for the complete 2021 racing schedule it is now set for release mid next week. We had the schedule ready to go yesterday but there was some unexpected scheduling that took place in the California racing scene that has caused some scheduling conflicts and this has forced us to look at our options to best navigate this situation. Opening weekend for our MAVTV series is set for March 13th, and opening weekend for the Madera Club Races will be set for March 20th. We will host open practices on February 27th and March 6th. Theses opening dates will be pending conditions of operation as set by the State and County.

RACE 6 OF THE 51FIFTY JR LATE MODEL SERIES from Madera Speedway airs nationwide next Monday January 4th on MAVTV at 7pm EST. Tune is to see the best young drivers in the country competing in the most competitive youth series in the nation.

It is with deep sadness that we got the news today that Roy Robinette passed away. Roy’s smile and positive character will be badly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

50 YEARS OF RACING AT MADERA SPEEDWAY Madera, Ca. (1-7-21) The Madera Speedway will celebrate 50 years of racing at the fastest 1/3 mile in the west in 2021 with a variety of high caliber motorsports action. The headliner of the 2021 racing season will be the seventh consecutive year of the nationally televised Nut Up Pro Late Model Series and the 51FIFTY Jr Late Model Series with nine televised race events each. The Mini Cup and Bandos will be the under card and opening ac...t in all television shows. Then we have the newly formed Pro Modified Series and the Challenge Cup Series that will compete in five events each at the Madera Speedway in 2021. Each series will also be featured in the Madera Racing television show. The Madera Club racing series has become very popular with a relaxed environment and great camaraderie, and for 2021 there are ten events on the schedule for our race teams to enjoy. Club nights include the Madera Late Models, Hobby Stocks, Madera Mini Stocks, and MST/Sedans. There are four special events planned for 2021 pending COVID-19 conditions of operation, they are the Vukovich Classic, the Gerhardt Classic, the Harvest Classic and the world-famous Pumpkin Smash. The 2021 season is scheduled to kick off on March 13th pending operating conditions as set by Madera County with round one of the MAVTV televised series featuring the $5,000 to win Nut Up Pro Late Model Series and the 51FIFTY Jr Late Model Series, plus the Mini Cup and Bandos. ATTENTION RACE TEAMS - We need two race cars and drivers to help us this Saturday at the Drive Thru Trick or Treat event at the Madera Fairgrounds. The Madera Fairgrounds is hosting a Drive Thru Trick or Treat for kids this Saturday from 5- 9pm and we are setting up a Madera Speedway display to hand candy out to the kids that drive thru (they will use long nets to get their candy from the cars). AGUIRRE WINS and CHAMPIONS ARE MADE Madera, CA. (10.25.20) The club races at the Madera Speedway have gained a reputation for high quality racing and for the 2020 season the drivers displayed their talent in a major way showing their ability to race clean and intense in a wheel to wheel manner. Jason Aguirre out dueled Shelden Cooper for the main event win in the final club race of the 2020 season, but it was Cooper that took home the title of overall champion in the combin...ed points from the club races and the MAVTV televised series. Trevor Schlundt brought home a third place finish on October 24th but more importantly he was crowned the Madera Late Model Champion for the club racing series. Lilly Mead finished 4th and came in second in the championship with Brandon Burd finishing a strong 5th place rounding out the top five in the Madera Late Models. Ryan and Shaun Reynolds battled all season long in the MST’s and it was Ryan that got the win when the checkers flew with brother Shaun, Hailie Bugg and Nick Thompson making up the top four. It appears as though Shaun Reynolds edged out his brother in the championship standings in what was nearly a tie. Note that all points standing will go through a season review audit prior to awards going out on November 14th. Manny Gonzales Jr. picked up the win in the Madera Hobby Stocks and was also crowned the champion. Wyatt Cantrell won the Sedan main but it was Thomas Magray that will be crowned the 2020 champion. The last race of the season will be the Triple Turkey Open Show for Late Models, Hobby Stocks and Modifieds held on November 14th.
