Blonde is surely one of the highest maintenance color. The more porous , the more it is prone to fading and breakage. Please treat your porous hair like your baby ...Seriously ! There are many factors contributed to the longevity of one’s hair. Today I will emphasize about HEAT! Did you know sunny temperatures can cause hair-color to fade faster? Did you know washing your hair with warm-hot water can open hair-strands cuticles, therefore color comes out? Did you... know if you leave high temperature flat iron on pre-lightend blonde/light colored hair for 10-15 seconds, it might change your color 1-3 shade lighter? (Not a good thing!) When washing, we should use luke warm water (The cooler, the colder, the better... I know I know it is freezing cold ) When styling, I recommend using leave in conditioner on damp hair, heat protected sprays, oil serum along with using low heat settings tools. Another option to prolong your color when styling your hair without heat is by braiding! This photo I applied conditioning & styling cream prior braiding my hair into two french braids. Sleep over night if you want more defined waves. BONUS : Scrunch, backcomb lightly with your fingers & add finishing hairspray if you desired more volumes.
