We hope everyone is staying safe and keeping healthy. Unfortunately, due to the closure of our bowl and the health concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic, all leagues run by Lucky Bowler will have their seasons ended. This is something no one ever anticipates when running or participating in a league. So naturally, you may have some questions... Q: How will payouts work?... A: Payouts will be based on your teams teams standing the last week bowling happened. They will also be proportionate to the number of weeks we bowled. (Ex. If the last night we bowled was week 20 of 30, the payouts will be 2/3 of what they were supposed to be). If your league had sections of the season where playoff spots were guaranteed, those teams will be ranked at the top of the standings, with the tie-breaker being season long points. Q: I already paid for the whole season, do I get my money back for un-bowled weeks? A. Yes, of course. Any extra weeks you paid for, you will be reimbursed in full for those weeks. Q: When/How will I receive my payouts? A: There's two options here. 1) When the bowl re-opens (right now that date is in June), we will have cash for you. We know some leagues are doing payouts sooner, but the totals in our league would require us to get over $40,000 from the bank, which puts our health at risk). 2) We have the ability to send it via paypal with no fees. We will be reaching out to everyone to get their preference. Q: Will there be summer leagues? A: We don't know. If the bowl re-opens in June, we are planning a few 8-week abbreviated summer leagues. We wish we had better news to share on our favorite holiday, St. Patrick's Day... As of today, our bowling center, AMF Land Park Lanes will be closed for a minimum of two weeks. This was a decision made to prevent the spread of the "CoronaVirus". Since we are connected to the center, we will also be closed for at least two weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. We do want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank every one of our customers and loyal patrons.... In the short 3 years we have been open, you have taken us from a "side hobby" pro shop to one of the largest on the West Coast. It's a grateful feeling when customer after customer comes in and comments on how busy we always are. Our mission since day 1 has been to serve our bowling community with unparalleled customer interactions, amazing prices, prompt and detail-oriented service, and a full spectrum of products/services. We hope that our mission has become a reality. Although we may not be able to SEE you for a couple weeks, we do want to see you again. Hi everyone, *THIS IS FOR ALL LUCKY BOWLER LEAGUE MEMBERS* We ask that you share this with your teammates as we do not have everyone's email.... Over the last few days we have received numerous messages, calls, and emails regarding the status of our leagues in these upcoming weeks. Due to the elevated status of what your have come to know as "CoronaVirus" (COVID-19), we have decided to suspend leagues for the next two weeks. Our leagues are planning to resume on Monday, March 30th but are still subject to change based on what transpires with our National Emergency. Our local city and state officials have advised that gatherings should be avoided in order to control the spread of this deadly virus. We have been in close contact with our AMF Land Park Lanes management regarding the decision, and they fully supported and encouraged us to suspend leagues. We are still working out what kind of options we have for what the remaining weeks, including playoffs, will look like for each league, and will keep you informed of our options. We do know that we are not being held responsible for paying lineage during our two week hiatus. We will be posting updates as we know them on our league facebook page.
