NEW COVID-19 REGULATIONS At Louie’s Barbershop we care about the health of our customers and Team Members so we are strictly following the government health codes and COVID-19 social distance regulations. Before seeing us we are asking you to please adhere to the following guidelines:... 1.- Everyone coming into the store must wear a face mask AT ALL TIMES in order to be serviced 2.- If you have been sick in the last 14 days or you are not feeling well we can not see you, please stay home. 3.- Please come in alone, we are limited to one person per barber at a time and there’s no waiting area inside the shop, so no partners, children, friends, or pets are allowed to come in with you. 4.- After greeting you we’ll take your temperature and will ask you to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer (available at every station), we’ll follow up with a health screening protocol. 5.- No food or drinks are allowed inside the shop. 6.- Please make sure you bring only one personal item and keep it with you at all times. 7.- Some services like beard trims or face shavings are not provided at this time until further notice in order to keep our Team Members and our customers safe and healthy. UPDATE: We were asking the Dept of Public Health about this (to see if we could open our salon outside)-- and actually SF is NOT allowing salons to open outside. Newsom did say it was up to your city's public health dept. (I copied the DPH response below) Thank you for the question. SFDPH is currently NOT allowing outdoor barber services. It’s something that we are exploring and expect to have guidance on one way... or another in the near future. Our reopening process is guided by data and science. COVID-19 cases are rising throughout CA. We're now seeing a rise in cases in SF too. Our numbers are still ...low but rising rapidly. As a result, we're temporarily delaying the re-openings that were scheduled for Monday. Yesterday we saw 103 cases. On June 15, when we first reopened outdoor dining and in-store retail, we had 20. At our current rate, the number could double rapidly. If that continues & we don't intervene, we'll be at such a high number that our only option would be to shut down. This is why it is important to follow protective health measures and utilize the tools we already have. Everyone needs to wear face coverings, maintain social distance, and practice good hygiene. Nobody should wait to get tested. If you are feeling symptomatic, get tested. If you are an essential worker or you need to leave the house for work, get tested. And have your family get tested too. Our public health experts will evaluate the data over the coming days to determine if it's safe to move forward. I know people are anxious to reopen--I am too. But we can't jeopardize the progress we've made. Let’s protect each other so that we can safely reopen San Francisco.
