In her first year at the Blind Children's Center, Zariah has made incredible strides in the infant class! She's learned to hold objects in her hands, feed herself with a spoon, and drink from a sippy cup with the help of our teachers and specialists. Read more about Zariah's story here, and consider giving a gift today to help us continue to support children like Zariah and their families: https://www.blindchildrenscenter.org/robinsons/

We're proud to introduce the Tom Sullivan Legacy Society! Since our founding in 1938, estate gifts and bequests have laid a strong foundation for programs provided at the Blind Children’s Center. To honor the individuals who have made, or intend to make, an estate-related gift to BCC, we are pleased to announce formation of the Tom Sullivan Legacy Society. Learn more here: https://www.blindchildrenscenter.org/legacy/ Tom Sullivan has been an advocate and supporter of the Blind Children’s Center for more than 40 years. As the Chair and namesake of our Legacy Society, Tom is deepening his investment in our work by sharing his personal reasons for including BCC in his long-range plans, and by asking others to do the same.

White Cane Safety Day has been observed annually in the United States since 1964 and celebrates the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired using the symbol of the white cane, an important tool for independence. We're so proud of our students for practicing their cane skills during distance learning at home! #whitecaneday #whitecane #whitecanesafetyday

For #BlindnessAwarenessMonth, we're highlighting people who inspire us who are blind or visually impaired! We'd like to shout out our wonderful friend Blake Stadnik who performed at our Light the Way Celebration in May! Blake is an actor and musician who is blind, and an amazing advocate for artists who are blind or visually impaired. He plays Jack Damon on This Is Us, and our student Sebastian plays the younger version of the character! Thanks for being a part of our students' success stories, Blake!
