Here’s the problem our students are facing. Los Angeles Room & Board has a solution. We’re using open spaces across Los Angeles to get our students housed & supported. Instead of building new housing, we can maximize the efficiency that already exists on our campuses and within our communities, by utilizing vacant/open spaces. Join our movement at www.larnb.org
For anyone who needs it, the program’s capacity has been increased by 460 rooms.

Part of our strategy to end student homelessness is by maximizing the efficiency already within the Higher Education ecosystem. Through our "Open Spaces" initiative, we partner with colleges with campus student housing programs to identify vacant/open dorm rooms to connect homeless students with therefore providing them with the stability they need to achieve their college completion goals.

This article highlights the intersectional way in which homelessness impacts those already marginalized in our country. I’m ignited by the work that so many nonprofit organizations are doing to affect change here in LA. As you enjoy the holidays this week, remember to be ...thankful for the roof over your head and reflect upon ways you can make a difference. #homelessness #losangeles #fosteryouth #students See more
