Los Angeles Chapter Tuskegee Airmen Inc member Dr. AJ Brickler received Volunteer Florida's Champion of Service Award today. He was honored by the governer of Florida and it's cabinet at the Capital. Congratulations Dr. Brickler!

Everyone is in a celebratory mood at the Tuskegee Airmen Inc.convention, here in Indianapolis, Indiana. General Stacye Harris is all smiles with Dr. Nikki Ballou, president of the Los Angeles Chapter, Tuskegee Airmen Inc. General Harris will be promoted next month to a 3 Star General, the first Afro-American female to achieve that rank. Congratulations Stacye, we are so proud of you and proud to call you a member of the Los Angeles Chapter!

Chauncey E.Spencer II, gave a passionate report on the National Tuskegee Airmen Inc. Youth program. 15 students from all over the United States will participate at a summer program at Compton Airport starting July 25, 2016. The program will be under the tutelage of Robin Petgrave and his wonderful Tomorrow's aeronautical museum. This program has recently been in the news for young Isaiah Cooper record breaking flight around the the U.S. at age 16 over these last 2 weeks.

Today was another awesome day for The Los Angeles Chapter, Tuskegee Airmen Inc. We honored Dr. William Upton and Dr.Lester Reims for their vision and tenacity in persuing the task of convincing the California State legislature in declaring the 4th Thursday of March Tuskegee Airmen Day! This statewide recognition is truly the beginning of even a larger vision of having every state to declare such a holiday. Thank you Dr. Upton, Dr. Reims and those chapter members who participated in this monumental achievement. Your gift of your time and passion will not be forgotten.
