We’re shooting for May 29th for a CLV Open House so pencil that in on your calendar! *See below for our new Newsletter and some great photos of some of the Socially Distant CLV projects we accomplished with our great volunteer crew and of course your highly valued camp donations! Tis’ The Season...Finally! Summer held on for as long as it could this year, but we are finally enjoying cooler fall days here on the mountain...and with that comes the bittersweet winterizing of Camp La Verne in which we put water systems, cabins, and kitchen to bed And though the sound of happy campers and their campfire songs were missed sorely in this forest this summer, Virtual Camp was a great success, and the communion of our small group Work Camps were enough t...o keep our spirits HIGH and looking forward to Summer 2021! Please enjoy some parting ‘Schatz’ from our closing Work Camp for 2020! *Special thanks to Rugere, Joanie, Bob, Elijah, Erica and Kyle for help with this great weekend!
What In The Camp La Verne World Is THIS?!?! Give us your best guess, or even better, tell us YOUR story! (Hint...it looks like it could take you to the moon, but it’s more likely to lead you to the STARS)
Good news for Camp La Verne! (Quick El Dorado Fire Update) With the fire containment level at over 92% now, things are looking very promising for our beautiful mountains here and definitely for CLV! Take a quick look at this video to see exactly how close the fire came to CLV...
Camp is SAFE for the moment and we will have some updates soon... In the meantime, here is a great video of just what was going on here in the San Bernardino Mountains during this fire.
All good things must come to an end and so we close out both Virtual Campfire and Virtual Summer Camp with the singing of Taps. Thank YOU for your participation and for being part of our beautiful Camp La Verne community.
