Thank you all again for coming out to Take Back The Night. While this week is about raising awareness, we hope you continue to spread awareness and help change the world for the better for the rest of your lives. On that note, we would be remiss not to share this information. ... Statistically, 9/10 women on Skid Row have been victims of sexual assault. In an effort to provide safer spaces for these women, Monday Night Mission is attempting to convince Mayor Eric Garcetti to turn a portion of the city's unused warehouses into affordable housing through the #shedoes movement. Congratulations to Delta Gamma on finding the last horseshoe!

Sororities! As you already know, Derby Dash is tonight at 9:30 in Sunken Gardens, but due to problems last year, we have decided to change the rules. This year Derby Dash will be tournament style -each sorority runs 2 separate heats head to head. ... One sorority will occupy each side of Sunken Gardens (divided by the sidewalk). Each side will have a set of flagged coaches who must stay within that half of the field. Each sorority will have 30 seconds to capture as many flags as possible. The team with most flags after the two heats will move on to the next round. Unlike other tournaments this one will be single elimination, so be ready! We hope to eliminate some of the problems this way while still keeping it competitive, we look forward to seeing everyone out there!! Unfortunately there will be no horseshoe hint for the remainder of the day. It was a mistake to tie up finding a horseshoe and our most important night of the week. Our intentions were pure but poorly thought out. We hope to see all of you at Take Back the Night!
