I just finished a new release, Hope When Your Heart is Breaking written by Ron Hutchraft. Though he writes about the unexpected loss of his wife, the book is powerful for anyone with a loss. Dear Friend, Living Stones Ministries and Help 4 Families teamed up this past spring to minister to hurting moms by hosting the Hurting Moms, Mending Hearts study through Zoom. The workbook we used, Hurting Moms, Mending Hearts, written by Cathy Taylor, blessed the moms who participated in many ways. Cathy’s experience as a hurting mom was due to her daughter’s drug addiction, but her study is truly helpful for all hurting moms. Living Stones Ministries and Help 4 Families o...ffered two groups at different times. Each group was led by hurting moms with LGBT children, and every participant either had a child identifying as gay or transgender. If you’d like to join a group in the future, you’ll be surrounded by other moms who understand your pain. Here are some things shared from the first season of the Hurting Moms, Mending Hearts. This group has been instrumental in my healing. I knew the group members were praying for me. The Hurting Moms study helped me to deal with some my own stuff. Thank you for offering this study for hurting moms of LGBT children. We will hold our third season of the 10-week study this coming February will be offered on one day with two different times. One group will begin on September 16 at 10:00 a.m. PST (1:00 p.m. EST), and the other group will begin September 16 at 5:00 p.m. PST (8:00 p.m. EST). So we offer you thanks: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God (2 Corinthians 1:34). Dear God, As I reflect on the past, please remind me of the gifts of what is yet ahead. Remind me of your comfort, your direction and love. Help me to stay focused on you, rather then my circumstances. Encourage me through the hope you offer me through not only stories of healing, but stories of your love and sacrifice for me. Because of your love for me, your Son came to earth on what’s called Christmas day. Because of your love for me, you give me hope through birth of your son, Jesus Christ. Thank you for the Gift that gives endlessly. Amen.
