Live Oak Music Festival 24.04.2021

Dear Live Oak Friend, I hope this message finds you well and in good health during these unpredictable times. We share in your excitement to resume normal life without interruptions, and as a supporter of the Live Oak Music Festival, that includes camping and gathering with friends at Live Oak. Unfortunately, however, the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic remains volatile, and it will likely remain volatile for at least the next four to six months.... Because of this, KCBX has made the difficult decision to transform Live Oak 2021 into a new and improved virtual festival, Live Oak on the Radio. Plans for a successful event to take place over Live Oak weekend on June 18-20, 2021, are already in the works, so stay tuned for more information coming soon. For now, you can look forward to new activities and opportunities to enjoy music and connect with friends as we consider how to utilize all available resources in order to bring the Live Oak celebration to our community. More information will be available on our website and through social media as details develop. In the meantime, we are excited to share the spirit of Live Oak with you in the coming months. Thank you, and continue to stay safe. Frank Lanzone, Jr. President ~ General Manager

And if you give by midnight tonight on #GivingTuesday, you can also nominate another local nonprofit to receive $1000 of on air announcements on KCBX. Donate at kcbx.org. It’s been almost a month since #LiveOakOnTheRadio and we’re still glowing. Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us. Special thanks to all who donated. We raised close to $50,000 with the help of KCBX listeners and the Live Oak community, plus matching funds from KCBX donors and the Udsen family. We’re still about $50K away from where we need to be. You can still donate at liveoakfest.org.
