Our week so far! Our ducks have began laying eggs so we took a trip outside to visit them

Some Valentine's set ups I have planned. This will include a little flower shop, baby sensory items, weaving with Valentine's scarves, a construction sensory tray set up, a rainbow car color match to the corresponding colored garage, play dough set ups with V-day theme, V-day eraser counting, many many valentine sensory bin set ups, and for Valentine's Party we will have our traditioned Tea-party and mail the kids letters

Man you guys brought the most photogenic kids today! My older guys seem to miss all the pictures since they are so busy with distance learning and playing hard.

Today, for a belated Martin Luther King Jr. Day we talked about which egg tastes better based on the colors and how the exterior doesnt change what's inside or whether its a good egg. We also tried to draw a rainbow with one color and that color is white and it made a really boring rainbow until we added in all the colors.

Snow angels, serious workouts, color sorting, and some distance learning... you know how tuesdays are...

We dyed pumpkin seeds rainbow colors and drew numbers on pumpkins in our little patch. Then we put the number of pumpkin seeds that each pumpkin stated. Then we used our LED pumpkins and balanced them on top of different sized paper rolls. During our time outside, we played with slime that had pumpkins and eyeballs mixed it.

Today we did a pumpkin investigation which involved hypothesizing, describing, and exploring the contents of our pumpkins. We had our own paper pumpkins and glued and labeled them as we explored. Our very own Miss B lost her tooth today and is so excited to put this shiny white tooth under her pillow tonight! We also tried out our new class set of Water Wow! Booklets that reveal pictures while you brush water on. It was a great day with completed distance learning for my older kids and lots of playtime of outside

Today we painted pumpkins with Duplo blocks, made a fall scooping station with glitter, pumpkins, and spooky floating eyeballs, and finally we sorted halloween colored skulls by color

Today we went on a walk to pick flowers for our science activity of sorting parts of a flower. We labeled and sorted out parts of actual flowers and then drew pictures of the parts with our crayons. As a finisher of our day we tried to see if we could get these frozen colored hand shapes with dinosaurs frozen inside to melt. We used different tools including scoops and paint brushes.

I hope I always make you feel cared for, nurtured, proud of your successes, empowered, protected, hopeful, equipped for the future and so much more. You guys are the best!

We did three fun projects today! We made bright colored peacocks with tissue paper and paper plates and painted toilet paper rolls for their bodies. Then we did a math activity with our friend, Mr. WORM. We divided and numbered sections of Mr. WORM's body and put the corresponding number of stickers in that section. The younger guys who did this worked on fine motor skills of perfecting their pincer grasp removing the stickers and placing on the paper. Lastly, we did a super fun sticker match. Using cars, planes, helicopters, motorcycles, tractors, bikes, and boats we used a sheet of paper showing a sky, road, and body of water and placed them where they might be found. It was super successful and kept ALL my kids involved for an extended period of time.

Honestly, its not the activities, environment, the house, the toys or anything else that makes us awesome... its these guys.

This is how birthdays go around here. The kids help me bake a cake, we eat it, and give a present. Miss E is now 3 which marks almost an entire year with us at LF. It has been such a wonderful year together and watching her excel in learning all her letters, counting, even memorizing some sight qords when the older kids would practice them.

Today we created our own SPACE SHIP complete with ALIEN passenger Next we sorted our animal figures by stripes, solids, and spots which the kids had a blast with We had a lunch that the kids lovedddddd and a parent donated chocolate milk so the kids were thrilled by the special treat Our book reading today was "I've got a rock n' roll soul" ... We ended the day with Frozen Yoga Hopefully this air quality improves soon because we miss playing outside and visiting the animals.

Today was an AWESOME day. It was so seamless and zero drama. Miss E went #2 on the potty TWICE! Zoey was her happy self today despite teething lately off and on. It was our new friend Payce's first day and it was tear free and all good vibes so I couldn't have asked for a better response We practiced naming our animals, we made a lion, and then made home made cloud dough, and then did morning songs

Today we needed a creative release with so much distance learning going on. We threw some paint on paper outside and practiced large motor skills and direction words "Above, below, left, right, tip toe, march, shift your weight to your heels, shift your weight to the balls of your feet"
