One of my favorite parts of being a Strength and Conditioning coach is helping people get to do the things that they love! Sometimes the things they love require supreme fitness, for safety, and to have the best possible time while doing it! This is Carrie Elizabeth Drake Running!!! Carrie was client and friend. In the years we spent together Carrie quit smoking, started doing strength and fitness training with me 2-3x a week, got both hips replaced (after the doctor told her that she would never be strong enough to even get one... she came back and blew him away with her transformation). Carrie and I worked together for 7 years before she reached her ultimate goal of being strong and independent enough to move h...ome to San Diego!!! Carrie would come in to the gym in her jeans and hiking boots (fresh off the farm) most days, she was not a gym person, but she had the drive to achieve the life she wanted! It breaks my heart to have somebody work so hard to achieve everything they have wanted, only to have it tragically taken from them far too soon. I will always miss our Bitch Sessions Carrie... you were loved around here!!! God Speed
Check out Lift SYV’s new hot stud Personal Trainer in action! Janson Harwood has spent the last 15 years training with me, and has spent the last 3 years studying for (and passing) one of the most challenging courses in the fitness industry (all the while working 2 jobs and being a bad ass mom)! When Janson told me 3 years ago that she wanted to work along side me as a coach I couldn’t help but cry. I was so happy because in the personal training world you’ve either got it,... or you don’t... and this girls got more of it than anybody else I know! She’s an outstanding coach, a kind mentor, and a tough but nurturing motivator. She understands the way the body is supposed to move and she trains her clients to be stronger, leaner and to move better without pain! While Lift SYV is still closed to the public, Janson is studying to be a nutrition coach. She is also writing exercise programs and practicing daily, so that the moment we open to the public, she’ll be ready to help you reach your goals! As time goes on and the closer we get to opening back up to the public we will begin to advertise some of our programs and all we have to offer. Until then we are available (by appointment only) for fitness and nutrition consultations, home gym/home exercise program design, and rehabilitation programs for individuals with therapeutic needs! Feel free to contact Lift SYV for any more information on what we have to offer, or to reserve a personal training time slot for when we open to the public (cause they’re going to fill real quick).
