EOU Fair Price Friday: Blue Tansy Oil #EOUFairPriceFriday This week we are doing a price profile on blue tansy oil (Tanacetum annuum). The oil has seen shorta...ges in the past and drastic price increases but due to expansion of farms in Morocco the supply is doing well now. A fair price to pay for the highest quality oil with a minimum of 5% chamazulene in a 15ml retail bottle is anywhere from $65 to $85 (PLEASE NOTE: I said 15 ml, not 5 ml like some of the bigger companies sell in). Please be wary of sites that pretend to show pictures of the flower of this plant as blue or purple because the actual flowers are YELLOW. Also the buyer should be aware that the oil is very dark blue, like ink (due to chamazulene), and if you can see through it then it’s either been cut with a carrier or it’s not even blue tansy oil to begin with.
