Hey Neighbors! This Sunday is supposed to be nice. Even Lassen Park will see mostly sunny skies, albeit chilly. The Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center and park store are open Wednesday through Sunday, 9 am - 5 pm. Café is open 11 am - 2 pm weekends only. Our preference is picnic style -- cold fried chicken, coleslaw, and our special Smore Cookie Bars. Of course liberal doses of hot chocolate throughout the day. Dont forget your mittens! ... Dan's done it again! Black Butte is stunning this time of year. All the wildflowers in bloom and the creatures, great and small, coming to life. The colorful landscape should be around for about 2 weeks so get out there and explore! #LoveNorthernCalifornia

This map shows the risk level of attending an event by estimating how likely it is that at least one COVID-positive person will be there, given the event size and location. This just in! Apple and PBS have teamed up for ad free broadcasts of the special and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Apple apparently heard your cries on social media and cut a deal with PBS to bring your favorites like "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" to your local PBS station. It is making an ad-free version of the show available to PBS and PBS kids on Nov. 22 and Dec. 13. It's free on Apple TV+ Nov. 25-27 and Dec. 11-13. Nice to know that somethings can be agreed upon in 2020 :D
