Inside the flat of the late gallerist Karsten Schubert in London which was recently published in October issue of World of Interiors. The home has a muted and sophisticated ora with gallery like features. As any true gallerist, Schubert was a collector and his personal home is filled with roman sculptures, oil and charcoal paintings to name a few. What a privilege it is to see or to understand a persons life through through their personal belongings. Photos by: Jan Baldwin

The patience of an artist. Argentinian artist Luis Fernando Benedit found his appetite whetted by a former village butcher’s shop and home while visiting friends in Pampa but had to wait to make it his own. The former home owner & butcher agreed to sell his home to Luis but not until he turned 100. Photography by @ricardolabougle for @theworldofinteriors @ Santa Coloma, Buenos Aires, Argentina

I am a visual person in a creative career. I feel empowered when I visualize ideas and put thoughts into words. The blackout period from social media was an opportunity for me to reflect and put my thoughts into words. I am now prepared to share and feel empowered to act on my words. Let us not forget ... If you are like me, you will remember as a child memorizing the words and with a sense of pride reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. ... one nation indivisible, with libert...y and justice for all. As adults we must not forget our pledge. May we understand the meaning of and live by the words in that pledge. Let us put our hand on our hearts and keep that pledge. Let us not only recite that pledge but let us also take responsibility and do our part to ensure that pledge. With that pledge in mind, may we ... Put our foot down to injustice. Keep both our feet on the ground for equal rights. Get down on our knees for peace and out of respect for the entire human race. Keep both our knees on the ground to ensure freedom and the breath of life. But above all, lay down hatred in the name of love and liberty for all.
