PINK PATCH PROJECT-WHO IS YOUR DESIGNATED CHARITY? This October, many law enforcement agencies will be participating in the Pink Patch Project and will donate the proceeds to a designated charity. The National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation is volunteer driven and operated by LEO’s who are CANCER SURVIVORS. We provide free emotional support, guidance and resources to anyone in law enforcement who is going through a cancer journey. We operate at the grass roots lev...el, hand delivering checks to those LEO’s in need. We would be honored to partner with any agencies participating in the project and are one of the only organizations that can say that 100% of the PPP monies donated to our foundation go directly into the hands of our brave men and women who are battling cancer. Please keep this in mind as you decide who to donate your funds to. To learn more about the valuable work we are doing, visit our website at www.lecsf.net

Many police agencies across the country participate in "No Shave November". They also designate a charity to donate the funds generated from this campaign. The National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation would be honored to partner with any police agencies for this project. The foundation was created by three LEO's who are cancer survivors. Our mission is to provide free emotional support, guidance and resources to anyone in the law enforcement family going through a cancer journey. Please contact Josef Levy, President/Co-Founder and Cancer Survivor at [email protected] or visit our website at www.lecsf.net

A MESSAGE FROM PEER SUPPORT Cancer, the C word that has directly and indirectly impacted more of our personnel in the last couple years than we would like to admit. As members of peer support we have witnessed the shock, denial, anger, sadness, helplessness and amazing resilience as people fight to remission and back to work. We have also unfortunately seen the loss and grief connected to those who have lost their lives to cancer. ... Support comes in many different forms from a number of resources and people. In addition to our peer support team, we have a group of local law enforcement who have chosen to take their cancer experience and pay it forward to help others in law enforcement (and their family) go through the cancer journey. The OCSD Peer Support Team has an incredible partnership with the Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation. They provide mentorship, support, expertise and have connections to cancer treatment centers to assist with second or third opinions. They take support to another level because they have survived cancer themselves. The link below will take you to the website. For more information, feel free to contact Heather Williams-Regional Peer Support Coordinator at [email protected] www.lecsf.net
