At first glance, the TVIC appears to be your standard transit center. It offers easy access to all visitors seeking essential rider information or connecting to their destination via LBT routes, the Metro A Line and other regional Transit systems. As you continue into the First Street Transit Gallery, you'll see that it offers a much deeper look into a facet that Long Beach holds close to its heart, Community Art. In honor of National Art Day, Long Beach Transit launches a ne...w installation featuring artwork in partnership with the Arts Council for Long Beach’s Eye on Design Program. The installation will be integrated into the First Street Transit Gallery, offering visitors a unique Art Gallery experience. Eye on Design is a 15-week student course program based around public service through public art - showcasing student mosaics inspired by neighborhoods in and around the city.
