We are aware of the phone scam in Long Beach impersonating law enforcement in an attempt to collect money from the caller to clear them of charges against them.... The phone number shows that is it coming from a City of Long Beach phone number. The Long Beach Police Department will never ask for money to clear criminal charges. Our Financial and Computer Crimes detectives are working hard to get to the bottom of this. Again, please do not provide anyone your financial or personal information over the phone. #LongBeach911 #Dispatch #ThinGoldLine #PublicSafety #FirstResponder
