As we grow we have found the need to change structure. The new incorporation, is listed under Law Offices of Laurel A. Buchanan Inc. We will still be doing business as The Law Offices of Decker & Buchanan, but you can now find us at The Law Offices of Laurel A. Buchanan Inc., and you may start to see the inc...orporation name showing up on our sites. We wanted to let our customers know that nothing has changed internally, our accountants are handling the heavy lifting on the name change so that our attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants and discovery clerks can continue to work on our cases. We are not changing any of our staff, we are just changing structure to meet IRS and California Bar requirements. We will still provide the same legal services in family law, civil law and criminal law. We still provide free consultations and treat our clients with the same one on one attention as they deal with legal issues from custody battles and divorces to misdemeanors and felonies to partition suits and other civil litigation matters. Our great staff has remained the same, even through the Cover-19 crisis and is still ready willing and able to help clients through the legal process. Co-Parenting During The Coronavirus Emergency Parents have been calling and asking what happens to visitation during the current emergency if one parent needs a change or accommodation. We suggest that parents do what they can to work together. We know times are difficult with work and school schedules up in the air and potential contagion, we are parents too, we understand. ... But remember that our children are also displaced during all of this. With school and daycare closures and the cancellation of all extra-curricular Children don't get to see their friends and are isolated and most likely bored and perhaps even a little concerned as to what might happen to them with all the madness going on. Disrupting their schedule further and fighting with the other parent is not going to help them. So as difficult as it may be, Co-Parenting should be the priority for the best interest of the children. Right now is the time to come together and allow each parent to communicate with children as much as possible to ensure that they have the love and support from both parents. Extra time via telephone and or video conference will be beneficial for the children's well being. The Law Offices of Decker & Buchanan will be offering remote services in response to the Coronavirus concerns. Local news reports that Murrieta Valley High School remains closed today amid concerns of possible Coronavirus exposure. USC announced that it will be testing online classes this week. Stanford University is slated to begin online classes and 10 students at CSULB are apparently under self-quarantine after possible exposure. In order to do our part in minimizing pot...ential exposure and infection we will offer remote services whenever possible. Continued Court Closures Riverside Court announced today that Corona, Moreno Valley, Temecula and Hemet Courts, the Riverside Self-Help Center and the Riverside Records Center will remain closed from July 27, 2020 through August 7, 2020.
