Bedazzled ankle monitor by a teenage girl who had to wear the device. She was 13 going on 25! Parents wanted to keep her safe and at home.

When wearing a gps device helps your case... We have many individuals with restraining orders against them for domestic abuse charges on an ankle monitor. 99% of the time, the folks wearing the ankle monitor are happy they have them on. ... In most cases, our reporting of location history can disprove false allegations! Case: Ex calls the police stating she has a restraining order which her ex violated. States he came to her house, banged on doors, broke windows, and damaged her car. Police officers went to arrest him. Low and behold he has his ankle monitor on. He tells the officer he wasn’t there and asked him to contact us. Officer called while still at his house asking for his whereabouts. Yep.... he hasn’t been there at all. In fact he has been 2 counties away. Officer let the accused go. We issued proof later showing he wasn’t there. She tried a couple more times to no success. Now, there are charges against her for making false police reports!

One wouldn’t think this would happen but it happens all the time! Defendants who are lucky enough to bail out of jail and wear an ankle monitor continue to commit crimes. Case for the day: 26 year old man and his brother are apprehended at the border bringing 10 kilos of goodies. ... They bond out and wear a gps ankle monitor. A few days later, the feds ask us for login credentials to our monitoring center to see their daily routine (of course a subpoena was issued). The feds watch them for a week. Low and behold, the feds move in on a warehouse these two men went to every day. They busted countless other people working the drug warehouse. They seized half a warehouse full of drugs and weapons!! And yes... the 2 men are no longer out on bond.
