If we observed more and pointed fingers less. If there weren’t political figures of either party giving incendiary speeches condoning violence. If only we counted to 10 before our anger turned into danger. If we were taught to love all humans regardless of color, gender or political and religious affiliation, we would live in a peaceful world. It is not that hard but our learning starts at home. At 6 yrs old I was taught a song that asked what color is God’s skin, is it ...black, yellow, red or white? We are all the same in the eyes of God. So why fight against each other? Why hate on police officers who were trained to do a job? Why assume they are all racist ? Many of you don’t know but according to statista research department more white males are killed by the police than blacks. These facts have not become a racial issue. Let’s be smarter and not allow anyone to incite us touching the sensitive button of race to get us wired and angry to the point of burning cities and causing destruction. We are better. I’m moderating a panel for the Beverly Hills film festival on April 29th at 3 pm PST titled: Hollywood Diversity, Myth or Reality. We will discuss the solutions to getting projects green lit with stories, producers, actors and directors of color.
