The preschool teacher plans, organizes and delivers a high quality play-based, developmentally appropriate preschool and infant care program. We are looking for reliable, energetic, fun, dedicated and happy individuals who want to inspire young children through art, music, sports, dance and language arts. SPANISH BILINGUAL PREFERENCE. QUALIFICATIONS: 12 college units in Child Development / ECE (3 units in infant/toddler education)... Teaching experience in a licensed preschool Able to create lesson plans Positive attitude, excited about teaching & energetic! DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans and implements an educational program which is play-based and child centered; provides developmentally appropriate learning activities both indoor and outdoor for all curriculum components: Literacy, mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts and Engineering. Adheres to Title 22 Regulations, including safety and cleanliness guidelines. Attends mandatory meetings and trainings. Utilizes weekly planning time to develop weekly lesson plans and complete DRDP Assessments. Utilizes positive discipline techniques as stipulated in the teacher training manual. Ensures developmentally appropriate adult/child interactions. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: AA or Higher in Child Development First/Aid CPR Certified (current) Spanish Speaker Current TB Test Current CPR Card Fingerprint Clearance 15 hours of health and safety training
