Hey Spartans! Meet the wonderful teacher of our CARE Program, Mrs.Kimbro 1.) How long have you been working at LHS? -I started working at LHS as an RSP teacher in 2016 and in 2018 I switched to the CARE program. ... 2.) What has been your favorite part of teaching as part of the CARE program? -I teach my CARE students for 3 out of 4 periods for their entire Freshman year and the best part is the relationship that I build with students and the relationships that they develop with each other, which continue throughout their years at LHS. The program provides them with a safe space and helps then build academic confidence. 3.) What is your favorite thing to bake? -My favorite thing to bake is the chocolate cake that my daughter requests for her birthday every year.

Hey Spartans today’s staff shoutout features our wonderful activities director and accounting teacher here at LHS. Here are a few things we asked her! What do you enjoy most about playing a huge role here on campus? I love creating opportunities for students and staff to get involved and create positive relationships and memories! Just seeing everyone enjoying their time on campus really makes my heart happy... What are some of your favorite things to do on your free time? Anything outdoors, reading, watching my sons participate in their activities and Peloton! We have an LHS staff group that rides together and it’s been so fun to connect with staff members in a different way! If you could travel to one place right now where would it be? A warm beach or lake sounds amazing right now, I love the outdoors and water!

Hey Spartans!! Take a moment out of your day to meet our high school’s wonderful Mrs. Grimaldo Q: Do you consider yourself a night owl or a morning person? A: I'm a night owl. Q: What was your favorite sport to play when you were younger? ... A: I loved to play basketball as a kid and racquetball in college for fun and exercise. Q: What’s your favorite type of fruit? A: Apples!! Q: What is one piece of advice you would offer your younger self? A: Don't get so stressed over failing or not want to try something because of a fear of failure.
