Fresno State announced earlier today it will cut three sports programs: men's wrestling, women's lacrosse and men's tennis. Fresno State Athletics was supporting 21 sports before the announcement, and they expect to save $2.5 million by this decision. The expected operating deficit for Fresno State Athletics this fiscal year is approximately $6.6 million due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
