GALA EVENT UPDATE: In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Las Primeras Executive Board has decided to cancel our Platinum Masquerade Affair on Saturday, March 21, 2020. This was not an easy decision, as it is our major fundraiser that so many depend on each year. But with recent recommendations by CDC for the public to avoid large gatherings, we feel we have no choice.... At our next meeting, we are looking forward to a discussion as to whether we do something else at a later date - possibly in place of Fall Social or not. This is a big year for us as a group and so much planning and preparation has already gone into it. We hope to make it a success regardless and we feel that it's important to have the group help us make those decisions. We will keep you updated with any new information. We are also looking into an online auction with some of the time-sensitive items that have been donated to us. Again, we will keep you posted. At this time we are also working to update attendees from outside our membership. If you have friends or family that were attending, who are not on our email list, we appreciate you helping us out with that. If you purchased tickets to the event and would like a refund, please contact Bea McLellan at [email protected] Being that this is a fundraiser that others depend on this year, we are asking everyone to consider the following: 1. Consider leaving your event purchase as a donation to Las Primeras to be included in this year's disbursements.
