Yesterday, our community reached a very important milestone with the return of our 6-8 students to campus, as we are now officially open PreK-Grade 8. As part of their unit of inquiry on "how signs and symbols facilitate local and global communication, the Grade 2 students made their own social justice posters in which they selected an issue important to them such as the environment or black civil rights and intentionally choosing detailed drawings, colors, and messages to bring attention to their issue and create positive action. Students were first inspired by the work of Jen Bloomer, a La Scuola parent, who creates social justice posters. #OPENtotheWorld #LaScuolaSF #NothingWithoutJoy
