We are so excited to be back at school! The children have been so busy learning, creating and discovering the past couple of weeks. Even though we have had to implement many changes, the children have adjusted quickly and are thriving! We LOVE school!
We hope all our children and families are doing well. Here is a great article we recommend you read about the importance of play....for all of us right now! https://notjustcute.com//play-is-the-therapy-we-all-need-/
A fun activity to document this time. Enjoy!
Next week is Outer Space week! What a fun idea to do each night with your child. We can’t wait to see your moon journals!
Here is a wonderful online source for literature. Fun Actors and Actresses read stories to children. It's perfect for the Covid-19 Quarantine. Your children will love it! Check it out! https://www.storylineonline.net/
Scavenger hunts are always a fun and educational way to get kiddos up and moving! Here is an example for both an indoor scavenger hunt and an outdoor scavenger hunt too.
This week has been awesome learning about dinosaurs! From becoming paleontologists on dinosaur digs in the sandbox, opportunities to hatch dinosaur ice eggs, T-Rex directed drawings, measuring how big dinosaurs actually were, erupting volcanoes and dinosaur inspired open ended art projects, we think it’s safe to say this week has been one of our favorites! The children will walk away from this week with new vocabulary, a gained interest in history and even more respect for animals and nature. We love preschool!
Happy Valentines Day! Here at school we love to celebrate kindness, friendship and love! We hope everyone enjoys their Valentines Day!
Learning how to stay healthy is very important. We just finished up with our dental week here at school and there were SO MANY fun, engaging activities the children were invited to take part in! In our dramatic play areas we had a dentist office set up, we learned how to floss using a cartons and green paper that represented spinach in our teeth, we talked about foods that are healthy versus unhealthy for our teeth, discussed the idea of the tooth fairy and we wrapped up our dental week with a visit from the dentist! The children were so excited to learn about something that’s super important. As teachers we love to see the children learning and growing every day and this week was such a great developmental week!
