There is nothing within our power we can do to alleviate the pain and anguish for the murder of George Floyd, but today's verdict represents a step in the direction of justice. Despite this, we know that there is still work to be done and Larkin Street will continue to stand in solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement. https://www.nytimes.com//derek-chauvin-verdict-george-floyd

"Proposition F, which may appear to be a dry, complicated tax measure, is the key to preserving our City’s human services. Thousands of vulnerable San Francisco residents rely on City-funded programs for housing, food, childcare, mental health treatment, healthcare, crisis intervention and more. The City’s two-year budget is balanced precariously on the assumption that voters will recognize the necessity for fair and equitable tax reform that invests in people and protects small business." Prop F is a huge priority for us this election. If it fails, not only will we lose the nonprofit emergency relief that the Board of Supervisors included in the addbacks, but Larkin Street may face significant budget cuts. More info here: https://www.sfyesonf.com/
