One exciting innovation in orthodontic treatment is the use of a mouthguard-type appliance for 5-10 minutes a day that can speed up tooth movement and reduce the duration of an orthodontic treatment. How is that possible? It’s actually quite simple and physiologically sound. This device applies very gentle micro-vibrations to the teeth increasing the blood flow around them.
