"Steve and I are often asked how our lives would be different if we were not living at Fredericka Manor during this pandemic. In our former neighborhood, our yards were surrounded by block walls, and the living areas were at the back of our homes. Very few people sat out on their porches or took walks, so we didn’t know many of our neighbors. Sound familiar? At Fredericka Manor, it’s a much different experience! Here, we wave at friends as they walk through the neighborhoods ...or sit on their patios. When we catch up with each other in person, we wear our masks and stand six-feet apart but still manage to see the smiles underneath. The pandemic may have changed some things but it has not ‘infected’ or affected our friendships. Our creative staff has kept us engaged with social distancing and virtual activities. They have even helped us use technology to stay connected with our friends and family. We enjoy chef prepared meals whether for luncheon service in the dining room or delivered to our homes.
