We are partnering with the American Red Cross for a blood drive at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Diego SeaWorld/Zoo on May 20th! Service to our community is in Kamla Hotels core values and part of that is supporting local charities that need our help. Many of you have asked how you can contribute, and one of the ways is by donating blood. The American Red Cross is experiencing a severe blood shortage due to an unprecedented number of blood drive cancellations because... of the recent school and business closures. We are hosting a blood drive at our hotel to help replenish their supply. For communities with stay at home mandates, giving blood is considered an essential community service and is allowed. The blood drive will be held in the Breakfast Room and employees will continue to follow stringent health and safety protocols to ensure the donation area is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. We will also limit the number of people allowed into the donation site at one time, and social distancing will be practiced at all times. Feeding San Diego is a mission to connect every person facing hunger with nutritious meals by maximizing food rescue.
